The following terms and conditions apply to all use of our website only. By placing an order with us you agree to have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. Please note, as these may be subject to change at any time without notice, it is your responsibility to check this page prior to any use or purchase. If you have any queries regarding our terms and conditions, please contact us before use or order placement.
1. Basis of Sale
1.1 When placing an order, you agree that all details you provide to www.polands.co.uk for the purpose of purchasing goods are accurate and complete in all respects.
1.2 Your contract for purchases made through www.polands.co.uk is with us and you confirm that all goods ordered by you are for your own private and domestic use only.
1.3 All orders are subject to product availability and acceptance by us.
1.4 The price and availability of goods are subject to change without notice.
1.5 All offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time without notice.
1.6 All credit / debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.
1.7 You certify that the payment method you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover payment of the product/s ordered.
1.8 It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to order. Anyone caught wilfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will have their details passed onto the Police.
Order amendments when in production
If you wish to change or cancel your order please do it as soon as possible. Once goods have been put into production suppliers may insist we accept them and so we may have to charge you a cancellation fee to cover our costs. Our cancellation fee is 25% of the purchase price. If goods are ordered at different times we cannot guarantee a colour match.
You will not be able to change your order online - so please contact us and we will process either a payment or refund manually on our shop card terminal during or after your telephone call. The updated order details can be viewed in your account menu online. Card terminal receipts are posted to the address you have provided us.
2. Conformity of Goods
2.1 Every care is taken to ensure that the description, specification and pricing of all products shown on our website is correct. The product information and specification provided is not binding, but is carefully considered and intended to give a general description of each product.
2.2 As many of our products are handmade dimensions indicated on our site have a 2.5cm/1” tolerance.
2.3 The images of the products on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computer's or device's display of the colours accurately reflect the colour of the products. Your products may vary slightly from those images. Products where options are selected may not reflect the option in the thumbnail image passed onto the basket page.
2.4 All prices are shown inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated in the products title.
2.5 We will act immediately to correct any error identified and are under no legal obligation to honour a price displayed in error.
3.1 We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit or debit card. Payment cards accepted include MasterCard, Visa, Delta and Maestro. If you do not wish to proceed via the website - we accept orders over the telephone during our opening hours.
3.2 All goods must be paid in full on acceptance of your order.
4.1. All delivery time-frames stated are estimated and may be subject to change. We shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of goods caused by circumstances beyond our control. The website shows availability for special orders only - local customers may contact the store for stock offers.
4.2. It is important that the delivery address and your contact details are accurate. Please also ensure there is easy access to your room of choice - there is more information on our Delivery Service page.
4.3 All goods must be paid in full before delivery. Once the goods have been deemed to have been delivered, ownership and risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to the customer. Our responsibility for everything other than damage due to our negligence or due to a manufacturing design fault will cease upon delivery.
4.4 Every effort will be made to ensure that the goods you have ordered arrive undamaged, complete and without defect. Where reasonable, the goods must be examined in the presence of our delivery team. If you should find a defect, ensure that it is noted on the delivery note and contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
This section applies to website purchases only.
5.1 Under Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order without giving any reason for a full refund. However, we reserve the right to refuse any refund if the goods are bespoke or tailor-made.
5.2 The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which your goods are delivered.
5.3. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail).
5.4. We reserve the right to make a deduction from any refund due to loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. You are permitted to handle the goods to establish their nature, characteristics and function. In other words, what would be considered reasonable behaviour if you were assessing an item in our furniture store.
If your use of the product extends beyond this, the furniture will become second-hand and loose approximately 40-50% of its value. However, we will only deduct a maximum of 25% off the purchase price.
The refund will be issued provided that the goods are returned in a fully re-saleable condition and still in the original packaging, if not, we reserve the right to refuse a refund. Beds/mattresses and pillows can only be returned if they are unused and in their original sealed packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.
5.5 If you cancel the contract after the goods have been delivered, you will bear the cost of returning the goods to us.
5.6 You must return the goods not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us.
5.7 We will refund you not later than 14 days after the day the goods are returned to us or if no goods have been delivered, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Order cancellations when in production

You will not be able to cancel your order online - so please contact us and we will process refunds manually on our shop card terminal during or after your telephone call. Confirmation of refund will be sent via system email and the order will be removed from the your account menu online. Card terminal refund receipts are posted to the address you have provided us.
6. Faults or Damaged Goods
6.1 You are asked to examine the goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Any claim by you based on any defect in the quality or condition of the goods or their failure to correspond with specification must be notified to us within 30 days from the date of delivery or within a reasonable time after discovery of the defect or failure if it was not apparent on reasonable inspection.
6.2 Where a valid claim in respect of goods delivered is notified to us within 30 days of the delivery date, you are entitled to either reject the goods and receive a full refund, or have the goods (or the part in question) repaired or replaced free of charge.
6.3 Any valid claims made after 30 days of delivery, we will offer to repair or replace the goods (or part in question) free of charge.
We guarantee goods purchased from us to be free of defects. If any defect in manufacture or materials used (other than those resulting from normal wear and tear which will vary from household to household and for which we cannot be responsible) are notified to us in the first year after your purchase, we will free of charge to you, make good the defects or if we so decide, replace the defective goods.
This guarantee is in addition to suppliers’ guarantees, and also in addition to, and not detracting from, the rights which you have in law.
Covers can be damaged by hard clothing fabrics like denim and light colours may be susceptible to dye transfer from clothing and appear worn quicker.
Long pile fabrics such as Chenille, Velvet and Draylon are hard wearing but can develop shading and crushed areas as part of their natural characteristics. Silks and delicate fabrics can crease.
Leather is a natural product with natural characteristics and no two pieces are exactly the same.
Your furniture may display brands, scars or creases which are a sign of true authenticity and have no bearing on the quality or durability of the item.
Every hide is different and will wear differently over time. Some will develop a patina especially in areas that are most in contact with human skin.
Real wood products are characterised by imperfections and shade variations. Each piece is unique and continues to evolve and mature with age, affected by its surroundings and external factors such as temperature and humidity.
Please refer to any care guides provided by the manufacturer for the best ways to keep your furniture looking like new.
7.1 All personal information is collected in a secure environment. We will use this information to:
- supply the goods; and
- process your payment for those goods.
7.2 Once an order has been placed, we will contact you by email to confirm your order. Should we need to contact you for any reason regarding your order, we will use the email address or telephone numbers you provided.
7.3 Apart from feedback requests, or assistance with delivery we will never pass your e-mail address to any other organisation. For the sole purpose of aiding a delivery, your contact details may be shared with the chosen delivery team.
